Easy Gourmet Pumpkin Soup

Made with pure pumpkin, our Better Than Bouillon® All-Natural Reduced Sodium Chicken Base, Organic Vegetable Base, brown sugar and spices. This is the easiest, most flavorful soup ever!

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon® Organic Vegetable Base
  • 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon® All-Natural Reduced Sodium Chicken Base
  • 1 (29-ounce) can pure pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons toasted pumpkin seeds (garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (garnish)

Instructions

  • 1. In a soup pot, over medium heat, add water, whisk in Vegetable and Chicken Bases until dissolved.
  • 2. Add pumpkin, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, cinnamon and red pepper, stir and bring to a boil.
  • 3. Reduce heat to medium-low, slowly stir in cream and heat through.
  • 4. Garnish with toasted pumpkin seeds and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
