Cornbread Turkey Roulade

Our easy to follow Cornbread Turkey Roulade recipe is a perfect holiday meal sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup minced onion
  • ½ cup minced peppers
  • 1 tablespoon minced jalapeno pepper
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups crumbled corn bread
  • 1 - 8 pound butterflied turkey breast
  • 1 Better Than Gravy Organic Gravy Mix for Turkey

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • 2. Add 2 tablespoons butter to a sauté pan.
  • 3. Add ½ cup minced onion, ½ cup minced peppers and 1 tablespoon minced jalapeno pepper to the pan and sauté for 3 minutes.
  • 4. Add 2 Tbsp minced garlic, ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • 5. Add 3 cups crumbled corn bread and toss to combine.
  • 6. Lay one 8 pound butterflied turkey breast skin side down onto a cutting board. Spread the stuffing evenly over the turkey leaving a ½ inch border on all sides.
  • 7. Starting at the short end roll the turkey, tucking the extra stuffing. Using butchers twine tie the turkey every 3 inches. 8. Place the turkey, seam side down, onto a greased baking sheet.
  • 8. Place the pan directly into the oven for 30 minutes. Cover the pan with foil and cook for 1 hour more.
  • 9. Slice the roulade into 1” thick slices and serve with the Better Than Gravy Organic Gravy Mix for Turkey, prepared according to the package
