Artisan Bacon and Tomato Breakfast Flat Bread

This excellent Brunch item can be made with a variety of meats and or vegetables, feel free to try your favorite toppings.


  • 2.75 ounces (1pkg.) Southeastern Mills Peppered Gravy Mix
  • 1 ¾ cups Water
  • 7 ounces SEM Buttermilk Bisquit Mix
  • ¼ cup Water
  • ¼ cup Bacon, Cooked & crumbled
  • ¼ cup Tomato, diced
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup Asiago Cheese, grated (optional)


  • 1. Preheat Oven to 400F.
  • 2. Combine Gravy Mix with Water according to package directions.
  • 3. Cook Gravy Mix according to package directions and hold warm for further use in recipe.
  • 4. In a bowl combine Biscuit Mix with water and mix according to package directions. (Please note, package directions say to use ½ cup of water, it has been reduced to ¼ cup for this recipe)
  • 5. On a parchment lined cookie pan, place mixed biscuit dough and with a wet hand pat the dough down to form an oval shaped pizza crust approximately ¼ inch thick.
  • 6. Top the dough with approximately ½ cup of the cooked Gravy, as if you were putting sauce onto a pizza crust.
  • 7. Top the sauced dough with cooked bacon, diced tomatoes, Shredded Cheddar and grated Asiago cheeses.
  • 8. Bake for approximately 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  • 9. Serve Flat Breads with extra sauce for dipping…
